The keynote of a Mexican restaurant? The chips and salsa. Although the chips were regular ones, the salsa was good--not too mild or spicy. Our meal was very yummy.

Excellent experience, from the food to the staff. Our family has been loyal to the other Mexican restaurant in Eureka for a few years, but we'll go to Altos from now on. Hands down, so much better. Ask for the hotter salsa, it's fantastic.

Service was fast and the prices were good. Portions were large, so we took the balance home for a great lunch.

Excellent food. Fast service. They worked with our dietary restrictions in a cheerful manner. Have a wonderful guitar player named Jose. Enjoyed immensely. Can't wait to go back.

Food and service were great. Very clean and great atmosphere. Big TVs. Very friendly staff.

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo here. Amazing!!!! They did a kid AND an adult piñata. They accommodated our large party with no problem. Large menu, everyone liked their meal. The staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

I've been here twice now and it has set a new bar for my Mexican cuisine expectations. My wife loves their frozen drinks and I have found a couple of new favorite entrees. Both were some of the best Mexican dishes I've ever had. Dinner #1: Quesabirria Dinner #2: Pollo Feliz

What smaller town needs three Mexican restaurants? Eureka! Altos Cantina is a nice addition to our options. We chose to eat here on a Friday after work a week after they opened -- so that explains some of the busyness. We arrived at 5:20pm and were seated right away at one of the last open tables. (By the time we left, there was a decent sized line waiting outside.) Chips and salsa were brought to the table right away, and our server arrived shortly after. (Salsa had some kick to it!) We ordered margaritas and dinner. The margaritas were just ok to us. (Be aware of drink prices. The menu only shows prices for the house margaritas. We had sticker shock when we got the bill because we had upgraded.) The food was really good. My husband ordered the chimichangas, and I had the Fajitas Alambre. The fajitas were SO good--a nice mixture of meats and veggies topped with cheese dip. The jalapeños add quite a bit of spice. I'd come back just for the fajitas. Service was great, the restaurant turned out nicely (a former Applebee's building), decor is understated but pleasant with agave farming artwork, and there's plenty of parking. Can't wait to try more of the menu! Welcome to Eureka!
